The business environment surrounding us is undergoing rapid change due to heightened geopolitical risks and political instability in various parts of the world.
In addition, domestic demand for petroleum products has declined due to factors such as the declining birthrate and aging population and the widespread use of hybrid cars, and the 2050 carbon neutral society has become increasingly challenging.
In the midst of these circumstances, our company became a subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. in November 2025. While we have previously worked closely with Idemitsu through a capital and business alliance to strengthen the competitiveness of our petroleum refining business and promote initiatives toward a carbon-neutral society, we will now accelerate the creation of synergies as a member of the Idemitsu Group.
Based on our corporate philosophy, we will strive to ensure the safe and stable operation of Sodegaura Refinery, which is a top-class domestic competitor, and further refine its competitiveness with the aim of increasing our corporate value and achieving sustainable development.
